Doug Markewich is the creator of The Family Wealth & Unity Plan as well as the Enduring Family Wealth & Unity Trust (EFWUT). As of 2017, Doug is the only certified Heritage Design Professional™ in Canada and serves on the faculty of The Heritage Institute, the foremost authority in North America for sustaining family wealth and unity. Prior to this Doug spent 30 years as a respected tax and estate planning specialist within the life insurance industry. He is a long standing member with the Institute of Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants, the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Doug is a frequent speaker to several investment and insurance groups. He conducts in-house seminars for accountants, lawyers and other professionals on a wide range of financial and business topics across Canada.
Doug’s proudest achievement is his 30+ year marriage to Carol, and their 27 years of parenting four exceptional children.
